Cosplay Photo Shoot Guide

Posted by admin on Tuesday Sep 14, 2010 Under naruto

Photo shoot has become a popular Japanese school uniform alternative to the competition catwalk because it gives cosplayers and photographers more creative control and a bigger canvas to work with. Here are some tips for first-time organizers who want to get the best out of their shoots.

It’s a bit of a stretch to put up a shoot with just a point-and-shoot cam at hand — at the very least have a good DSLR camera, some rudimentary lighting equipment, and a reflector/diffuser set. And no, you don’t have to get professional-level equipment — just improvise! You can use a high-powered flashlight for additional lighting, make make a reflector out of an old box and some tin foil, and use an ordinary white umbrella as a diffuser.

Whether you are at a public park or somebody’s home, it is rude to simply leave a mess when you are done. Always make sure that you clean up after yourselves, by picking up litter and rearranging furniture back to its original state. Just because you are in cosplay costumes it does not mean you can forget about basic human courtesies.

Striking different poses with the same facial expression and body position does little to enhance your portfolio. Spend some time in front of a mirror learning and developing a variety of facial expressions and poses. You may want to consider studying the expressions and body language of the top models in your field for examples and ideas. If you are just starting out your photographer will be able to share ideas with you.

Make sure you get a good nights sleep prior to the anime cosplay shoot. Try to schedule shoots as late in the day as possible to avoid going to photography session with puffy eyes. Bags under the eyes may be reduced with certain types of firming make up. Your normal diet should include the daily recommended consumption of water. This alone will add greatly to the look and healthiness of your skin.Consult a make up artist for recommendations.

Cosplay Effect

Posted by admin on Thursday Sep 9, 2010 Under naruto

Originating in Japan, cosplay is a mode of dressing up as your favourite character, usually from popular Japanese anime. While the cosplay competition attracted many onlookers and contestants at the fest, a number of youth also wore cosplay costumes for fun.

Celine Th’ng, 16, and her friends Chloe Cheah, Melissa Yeo Mei Yin and Jane Yeoh, all 17, dressed up as Hatsune Miku, Megurine Luki, Kagamine Len and Kagamine Rin respectively. The characters are mascots of Yamaha’s synthesiser voice application Vocaloid. All the girls managed to improvise their clothes except for their strikingly coloured Cosplay Wigs, which they bought online from China.

The single largest event featuring cosplay is the semiannual doujinshi market, Comiket. This event, held in Japan during summer and winter, attracts hundreds of thousands of manga fans. Thousands of cosplayers congregate on the roof of the exhibition center. The largest event for cosplayers outside Asia is the annual San Diego Comic-Con held in the California city in the USA.

Cosplayers typically come from the ranks of otaku–that is, fans of Japanese comic books, known as manga. They gather at public events such as comic-book and video game trade shows, as well as at dedicated cosplay parties at nightclubs or amusement parks. In Japan teenagers gather with like-minded friends in places like Tokyo’s Harajuku district to engage in cosplay. Since 1998 Tokyo’s Akihabara district has contained a large number of cosplay cafés, catering to devoted anime and cosplay fans. The waitresses at such cafés dress as game or anime characters; maid cosplay costumes are particularly popular. In areas outside of Japan, cosplay is primarily done at manga and anime conventions.

Cosplay at fan events likely originated in Japan in 1978. Cosplay nevertheless gets a mixed reception in Japan even today. Events in districts such as Akihabara draw many cosplayers, yet there is no shortage of people in Japan who regard cosplay as a frivolous endeavor.Others who wore cosplay such as Mohd. Izzat Syafiq Jaafar and Kun Yet Jun got their costumes from popular retail stores such as Animetech at MId Valley Megamall, Kuala Lumpur and Sunway Pyramid, Petaling Jaya.

Many young cosplay enthusiasts, such as Mohd. Izzat, face opposition initially. “This is my first try at cosplay. I had to explain to my parents why I wanted to be seen in public as a cartoon character,” says the 19-year-old, who was dressed as Chunin from the popular Final Fantasy Cosplay.

“Cosplay is about self-improvement because it’s always a challenge to prove to sceptics that I am a well-adjusted teenager,” he adds.

The Top 8 Family Animes

Posted by admin on Tuesday Sep 7, 2010 Under naruto

Family animes which the most important factor in Anime Cosplay Costumes are family emotional energy. They are all great pieces with lots of followers. Today, I make a Top 8 family animes list for you. No matter how bad and how outdated the list is, you could just take a look.

1 Full Metal Alchemist

If you watched the whole story and spend some time thinking about the plot, you may be surprised to figure out the answer. All the fighters in the anime are from the same big family. Edward Elric, his sisters, his brothers, his uncles. Whoever in the anime are almost one member of the extended family  FullMetal Alchemist Cosplay.

2 Code Geass

It is a 100 percent family anime. This is a story of an adolescent boy fighting against his own father. Everything in Code Geass is family background.

3 Naruto

Naruto is considered as a great work by the little children. And we can define it as a blood anime or a science anime because it covers so many contents. But now, we can say it is absolutely a family anime. You know Uzumaki Naruto and Sasuke are designed to be a pair when they are born.

4 Saint Seiya

What should I say? Athena is the queen of the Saints’ family. All the stuff of the family are willing to sacrifice for their queen.

5 Inuyasha

Inuyasha is not only a family anime but also a love tragedy happening in the family. What a confused story in the InuYasha Cosplay world.

6 Hitman Reborn

As the name saying, It is a cool story happening in the traditional gangster family. It sounds like horrible. Lol.

7 Detective Conan

I guess that no one is willing to meet the Conan’ family in reality. Because everyone met by the Conan is a tragedy. He is the killer or dead.

8 School Days

Sorry, I have not watched the anime. I got the name from the magazine. But, I plan to take a look soon.

 Just enjoy it!

the definition of cosplay

Posted by admin on Monday Sep 6, 2010 Under naruto

There’s no denying that Anime Cosplay Costumes characters are incredibly cute, beautiful, and handsome. Disproportional their facial features and body builds may be, they’re still magnificently good looking. In fact, it’s probably these imperfections that turn them into such good looking things. There are even times when they’re even more perfected than people both in their physique and face. And because of this, they often become objects of our adoration. And since imitation is the best form of flattery, there are people who just love to imitate anime characters… even going so far as to dress up as one. Dressing up as an anime character is what we call cosplaying.

However, you can’t just cosplay any time you want because people would think you were crazy. There’s a time and place for everything and for cosplaying; in the US it’s usually done during an anime convention while in Japan there are pockets of people that does them regularly in various cities or special cosplay cafes.

As you probably noticed, anime characters are usually clothed with very weird outfits. They sometimes wear clothes that are virtually impossible to be made in real life; after all, they can afford this since they’re simply ink on paper. This poses as a primary challenge for all cosplayers. But somehow, people are resourceful and they can always manage. Even the most complex of costumes can be duplicated by the means of some cardboard and some fabrics. Some cosplayers are so good that they’ve even managed to dress up as a real human robot from ‘transformers’ and is able to transform from a robot to a car. That must have taken a lot of time, effort, and brains.

Some of the more popular subjects for cosplay are the Naruto Costume as well as the Naruto Shippuden characters. In every cosplay convention, there will always be people dressing up as the Naruto characters, even the minor ones. There’s an especially large number of Akatsuki Cosplayers because those black cloaks with red clouds are incredibly easy to make and to wear.

Emulating a characters attitude is a huge plus when you’re in an anime convention. It adds to the overall feel if you’ve adopt the attitude of the character you’re cosplaying as well. Imagine cosplaying as Sasuke and acting like Naruto! That would be totally inappropriate. Just never take the assimilation of the character’s attitude too far or else you might just end up scaring people.

During Cosplay Accessories , those who are able to emulate a character as accurate as possible are usually lauded with awards and praises. And there are several people who go to cosplays just to have their picture taken with other cosplayers, surprisingly? To the most of us yes it is, but then that’s the world of cosplaying.
